Cattolica Medicine past papers: what exists and what to use

Checked against the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore's official pages on 27 October 2026. The 2027/28 call for the English-taught Medicine and Surgery has been out since 14 October 2026; the 2027/28 call for the Italian-taught Medicina e chirurgia was not yet published on 27 October 2026.

Università Cattolica does not publish past papers of its Medicine and Surgery test, as PDFs or otherwise. What it gives instead is a free database of logic questions, a short guide that works through some of them, its science syllabus, and, once you have registered and paid, an online simulator of questions from earlier years. This page sets out what each is, what it is good for, and where IvyTest's own practice paper fits.

In short

  • No official past paper of the Cattolica Medicine test is online, for 2026 or any earlier year.
  • Free on Cattolica International's Entrance exam page: 3,000 logic-type items compiled in 2015 by Selexi, Cattolica's test partner, without answers by design, and a guide with worked solutions to a selection of them.
  • After paying the €210 fee you get an online simulator of about 3,000 questions set in earlier years' tests. The questions on test day are not drawn from it.
  • Nothing official covers the ethics questions: Cattolica names three texts to read, not sample questions.

What Cattolica publishes, item by item

The Entrance exam page lists the free material; the 2027/28 call (Art. 2) describes the simulator.

The Entrance exam page says the logic database is a general reference for the layout of the questions and 'does not include answers by design'.

The official simulator

  • You get it once your registration is complete and the €210 participation fee is paid, and you open it from your application profile.
  • It holds about 3,000 questions from earlier years' admission tests, and registered candidates can use it without limit.
  • The call is explicit that the questions on test day are not drawn from it: it is for practice only.
  • Cattolica does not say whether it gives explanations, or whether its questions overlap with the free logic database.

The Italian-taught Medicina e chirurgia offered the same kind of simulator in 2026/27, also unlocked by its own participation fee.

How to use what there is

IvyTest's suggestions, not Cattolica's.

  1. 01

    Logic database: untimed drills

With no answer key, use it to practise question types, then check your method against the worked guide. Mark the items you could not settle and come back to them.

  2. 02

    Simulator: timed sets

Once registered, use it for timed blocks at one question a minute. Registration opened on 14 October 2026, so the earlier you register, the longer you have it; the fee is not refundable.

  3. 03

Annex A, not the old PDF

For the sciences, study from Annex A of the 2027/28 call. The 2019-2020 topics PDF predates the new physics list, fluid dynamics included.

  4. 04

    Ethics: read the texts

No official questions exist for Dignitas personae, Caritas in veritate or Magnifica humanitas. Read them, then test yourself on their structure and key terms.

IvyTest's free practice paper

IvyTest's Cattolica practice paper is a full paper in the 2027/28 format: 65 five-option questions in the call's mix (20 logical reasoning, 18 biology, 12 chemistry, 4 physics, 4 mathematics, 2 general culture, 5 ethics and religious culture), in English like the real test, with every answer explained and a PDF to download.

It is written by IvyTest and is not an official Cattolica paper; none of its questions is taken from Cattolica's material. It leaves out the 7 reserve questions, which count only when a question is withdrawn.

Questions

Are there Cattolica Medicine past papers?

No. Università Cattolica publishes no past paper of its Medicine and Surgery test, for any year. It offers a free logic database and worked guide, and an online simulator of about 3,000 earlier-year questions once you have paid the €210 fee.

Is there a Cattolica Medicine sample test PDF?

Not of the whole test. The free PDFs are a database of 3,000 logic items without answers, compiled in 2015, a worked guide to some of them, and a 2019-2020 list of science topics. IvyTest's practice paper is a full 65-question paper with answers, and is not official.

Are the simulator questions on the real Cattolica test?

No. The 2027/28 call says the questions on test day will not be drawn from the simulator; its roughly 3,000 questions from earlier years are given for practice only.

Do the logic database questions have answers?

No, by design, according to Cattolica International's Entrance exam page. The separate commented guide works through a selection of them with explanations.
