Video course

Narrated lessons, built from your exam's syllabus.

Illustrated lessons in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Reasoning, each explaining one topic. Your university's course is made of the lessons its own admission test covers, arranged under that test's sections.

Inside a lesson

One topic in about 10 minutes

A narrator explains the topic scene by scene, and the diagrams, labels and worked steps appear on screen as they are mentioned. Every lesson is narrated in English and plays in the browser, on a laptop or a phone.

A lesson page: the course's chapters on the left, the lesson and its controls on the right.
  • Jump between scenes

Each lesson is split into short scenes. Go straight back to the one you want to hear again.

  • Choose the speed

Play at 0.75×, 1×, 1.25× or 1.5×, and change it at any point.

  • Pick up where you stopped

Your place is saved to your account, so a lesson resumes on any device. It counts as done once you have watched 95% of it.

  • Notes tied to the moment

A note you write is stamped with the time in the lesson. Tap the time later and the lesson plays from there.

  • Save for review

Mark a lesson you want to see again and it goes on your course's review list.

  • The next lesson is ready

When a lesson ends, the next one starts after a short countdown. You can cancel it or switch it off.

Your university's course

Shaped by your university's own test

Every course follows the same three rules. Choose a university below to see the result, chapter by chapter.

  1. 01Topic by topic

The topics your university publishes for its admission test are matched, one by one, to the lessons that teach them.

  2. 02In the test's own order

The chapters are the sections of the test, named the way the university names them, in the order the test sets them.

  3. 03One lesson, made once

A topic tested by several universities is taught by one lesson, used in each of their courses. Prepare for two of them, and a lesson their courses share is finished in both once you finish it in one.

With the simulator

Watch a topic, then practise it

The course comes with your university's exam simulator, and each one sends you to the other.

  1. Practise

Your sessions in the simulator show which topics you get wrong most often.

  2. Get the lesson

The plan on your dashboard picks a topic for the day's drill and adds the lesson that teaches it, if you have not watched it yet.

  3. Watch, then answer

From the lesson, go straight to your university's questions on that topic. In tutor mode each answer is explained as soon as you give it.

  4. Revise

Your notes from every lesson are collected in one notebook, chapter by chapter, ready to print. Lessons you saved wait on your review list.

Study planner

Choose how many lessons a week you will watch. The planner gives you a finish date and the viewing time each week.

Certificate of completion

Finish every lesson of your course and you can print a certificate with your name on it.

Access

Included in your university's Complete Admissions System

  • Not sold separately

The course comes with the Complete Admissions System, alongside the study guide, the exam simulator and the rest of that university's preparation. One payment, 12 months of access, nothing renews.

  • One university, one course

Buying a university opens that university's course and no other. Preparing for two? Each one's system brings its own course.

  • Where there is a course

39 of the 52 universities on IvyTest have a video course. The lessons are in English, so a university whose admission test is not sat in English has none. Each university's page says what its system includes.
