UniCamillus fills its English-taught Medicine and Surgery course in Rome through two kinds of call. Italian and EU candidates, and those treated like them, sit the 60-question admission test. Non-EU candidates resident abroad do not: they take a written reasoning test and an online oral in English, under their own calls, places and calendar. This page sets the two routes side by side as the 2026/27 calls describe them, and says which one is yours.

In short

  • The EU route is for Italian and EU citizens, citizens of Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, San Marino and the Holy See, and the categories of Article 26 of Law 189/2002.
  • The non-EU route is for non-EU candidates residing abroad, and only for the English course: the 2026/27 calls for the Italian-taught course were for EU and equivalent candidates.
  • EU: 60 questions, scored out of 90, minimum 9 points, ties by the humanitarian questions. Non-EU: a 51-question reasoning test (IRT-3) plus an oral out of 69, total 120, ties by the oral.
  • Both routes pay the same fees once admitted: €2,000 + €6,000 at enrolment and two instalments of €6,500, €21,000 in the first year.

What the non-EU selection involves

The non-EU calls (RD 55 and RD 200) describe a selection that tests no school science in writing.

  1. 01

    Written test: IRT-3

The computer-based Internet Reasoning Test 3, in English: Verbal Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning and Abstract Reasoning, 17 questions each, one point each, 51 in all, to be completed within a set time the call does not state.

  2. 02

    Oral, online, in English

An interview on general culture and notions of biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics, scored from 0 to 69.

  3. 03

    Ranking out of 120

Written and oral are added. Skip either and you have no valid score. Results are published anonymously and checked with the submission code.

  4. 04

    Admitted or eligible

Those within the places are admitted; everyone ranked below is eligible and moves up by sliding notices as places free.

Which call is yours

  • A citizen of Italy or another EU country applies through the EU call, wherever they live and whatever their diploma.
  • A citizen of Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, San Marino or the Holy See is treated as EU: the non-EU call itself sends them to the EU call.
  • A non-EU citizen in one of the categories of Article 26 of Law 189/2002, which RD 640 describes as foreign students residing in Italy, also applies through the EU call.
  • A non-EU citizen living abroad applies through the non-EU call, and needs the Declaration of Value for a foreign diploma and the student-visa procedure that MUR publishes each year.

Questions

Do non-EU students take the same UniCamillus test?

No. Non-EU candidates resident abroad sit the IRT-3 reasoning test (51 questions) and an online oral in English, scored out of 120. The 60-question test out of 90 is for EU and equivalent candidates.

Is there an interview for UniCamillus Medicine?

Only on the non-EU route: an online oral in English on general culture and notions of biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics, worth up to 69 of the 120 points. The EU route has no interview.

Can non-EU students apply to the Italian-taught course?

Not from abroad in 2026/27: the Italian-taught course's calls were for Italian, EU and equivalent candidates and foreign students residing in Italy, and UniCamillus listed no non-EU call for it.

When are the UniCamillus non-EU calls for 2027/28?

Not published on 27 October 2026. In 2026/27 the first non-EU call (RD 55) was dated 30 January 2026, with registration until 4 March and the written test from 9 March 2026.
