Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele (UniSR) has not published its 2027/28 Calls for the International MD Program yet, so the 2027 test dates are not set. What is known is the 2026/27 pattern: registration from mid-December, two home-based sessions per quota in February and March, the ranking list within 15 days of the last session, and enrolment in July. This page gives that timeline in full for both quotas, and will carry the 2027 dates once the Calls are out.

In short

  • On 27 October 2026 UniSR's IMDP admissions page, in English and in Italian, still showed the 2026/27 Calls (Decree n. 9853 for EU candidates, n. 9854 for non-EU candidates resident abroad). No 2027/28 Call was published.
  • In 2026/27 registration opened on 17 December 2025 at noon and closed at noon on 6 February 2026 (EU) or 5 February 2026 (non-EU).
  • The EU quota sat on 14 February and 14 March 2026, the non-EU quota on 11 February and 4 March 2026, all from home. The €200 fee covered both sessions.
  • Each Call admits only for its own academic year: a score from the 2026 sessions cannot be used for 2027/28.

What is known about the 2027 test

On 27 October 2026 the IMDP admissions page still opened with "The Call for Admission to the International MD program ... for the academic year 2026-2027 is published in the boxes below", and the Italian page said the same. Neither showed a 2027/28 Call, a 2027 session date or a 2027/28 fee.

So every date on this page is from the 2026/27 Calls. They cover 2026/27 only, and the 2027/28 Calls may change the dates, the places, the fee or the format. Candidates with a non-Italian diploma should note one rule that shapes the calendar: they must register on the Admission Portal at least five days before the deadline, and can book the test only once their school documents have been evaluated.

This page changes when the 2027/28 Calls are published, with every date read from the Calls themselves.

After July, places left free pass down each list by notice. The EU list's latest notice on 27 October 2026 was dated 15 October 2026; the non-EU page said on 21 October 2026 that enrolment for 2026/27 was closed.

Registering: one window, one fee, two sessions

  • Registration is only online, on the UniSR Admission Portal: your personal data, the test for your quota, the sessions you book, then the fee.
  • In 2026/27 the fee was €200, covering both sessions, paid online within 15 minutes of booking or the booking was cancelled. It is non-refundable.
  • The Calls let you register for both sessions or only one, but only inside the registration window, which closes before the first session. You cannot add the second session later.
  • With a non-Italian diploma, or in the last year of a foreign or international school, you register at least five days before the deadline and upload your school documents; you can book the test only after UniSR has evaluated them.
  • Technical instructions arrive by email from five days before your session. Registering for another UniSR test as well means a second registration and a second fee.

Only the notices and lists on UniSR's website are official; the Calls say emails are only there to help.

Who can sit, and for which year

The 2026/27 Calls were open to students in their last year of secondary school in 2025/26 and to anyone who already had a school-leaving qualification. You do not need the diploma to sit the test, but you need it to enrol.

Each Call and its ranking list are for one academic year only. UniSR's admissions page says a score cannot be used for the following year "under any circumstances", so a student who sits a year early does not carry the result forward. San Raffaele's Italian-taught Medicina e Chirurgia has its own Call and its own dates, in April in the 2026/27 cycle.

Questions

When is the San Raffaele admission test in 2027?

Not announced yet: UniSR had not published the 2027/28 Calls on 27 October 2026. In the 2026/27 cycle the EU quota sat on 14 February and 14 March 2026 and the non-EU quota on 11 February and 4 March 2026.

When does registration for the UniSR admission test open?

For 2026/27 it opened on 17 December 2025 at noon and closed at noon on 6 February 2026 for EU candidates and 5 February 2026 for non-EU candidates. The 2027/28 dates come with the next Calls.

When is the San Raffaele ranking list published?

Within 15 days of the last session, under the Calls. In 2026/27 the non-EU final list is dated 18 March 2026 and the EU ranking list 27 March 2026. EU candidates then declare in June whether they want a place, which gives the Definitive Ranking List by 30 June.

Can I sit the San Raffaele test in my penultimate year of school?

The 2026/27 Calls admitted students in their last year of school or with a diploma. A score counts only for the academic year of its Call, so it cannot be carried over to the following year.

Practise in the real format

The free practice paper has 60 questions in the format of the 2026/27 Calls, 36 on logic, problem solving and reading comprehension and 24 on Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, to sit in 80 minutes with the +1, −0.25 and 0 scoring, every answer explained. It uses IvyTest's five-option format, as the Calls do not state the number of options. When you want more, the IvyTest San Raffaele package adds a full simulator, the study guide and lessons.
