Student life
Living in Hamburg as a medical student
Despite its name, UMCH's Medicine programme is taught at UMFST's Hamburg campus in Germany, not in Târgu Mureș — Târgu Mureș is where its parent institution, UMFST, is based in Romania, but the admission test and the teaching base for this programme are in Hamburg, with clinical years at partner hospitals in Germany; UMCH says three laboratory modules in years 1 to 3 (anatomy, microbiology and pathology) are completed in Târgu Mureș.
Both the written admission test and the interview can be taken online or on-site at the Hamburg campus.
Hamburg is one of Germany's largest and most international cities, with a correspondingly higher cost of living than Germany's smaller university towns.
