Dates, scoring and admissions
Key dates
- Applications open
- 1 November 2026The 2027/28 opening date on LF3's How to apply page ('Apply from 1. 11. 2026!'), updated on 12 October 2026. The 2026/27 window also opened on 1 November, in 2025.
- Registration deadline
- 30 April 2027The 2027/28 deadline in Charles University's admissions record for the online application and its fee, and for posting a request to waive the entrance exam. The 2026/27 deadline was 15 April 2026.
- Written test: Prague
- 28 May 2027The Prague date in the 2027/28 admissions record; the 2026/27 cycle listed 29 May 2026. Sittings abroad, arranged through LF3's partner agencies and possibly online, run from February to July 2027.
- Written test: alternative date
- 1 July 2027The alternative date in the 2027/28 admissions record. The 2026/27 cycle listed 2 July 2026. LF3's entrance-exam page restates the rule for 2027/28: the alternative date is granted only on an e-mailed request within 3 days of the original date for a serious reason such as illness, backed by a medical report and decided by the Dean.
- Interview (second part)
- Not yet publishedInterview dates not yet announced; invitations follow the Dean's threshold decision on the first part, which the 2027/28 admissions record says the Dean sets no later than 31 March 2027, from the sittings held by then
- Enrolment deadline
- 30 October 2027Admitted applicants enrol during September, at the Dobronice camp or at the faculty; LF3's How to apply page gives 30 October 2027 as the latest possible date. For 2026/27 it was 20 October 2026.
How it's scored
- Correct answer
- +1 point
- Written part score range
- 0 to 60 points (stated by LF3)
- Incorrect answer
- Not yet publishedNot explicitly published. A stated floor of exactly 0, rather than a negative figure, across 60 one-point questions is what a no-penalty scheme produces, and a negative-marking scheme would need a floor rule LF3 has never issued. IvyTest assesses 0 points for a wrong answer as likely, not confirmed.
- Unanswered question
- Not yet publishedNot explicitly published; assessed as 0 points on the same reasoning as an incorrect answer
- Answer format
- Single best answer: exactly one of the four options is correct, confirmed across all 60 items of the official 2025 sample
- Minimum eligible score
- Not yet publishedNo fixed value exists: LF3 states the Dean sets the minimum points to proceed to the second part on the basis of that year's first-part results
- Per-subject floors
- None. LF3 publishes no per-section minimum, and there is no Czech equivalent of the Italian per-subject OFA floors
- Interview (second part)
- 12 to 62 points, scored separately from the written test
- How the two parts combine
- Not yet publishedNot published: LF3 describes the written test as the gate to the second part and the interview as separately scored, but states no rule for combining them into a final ranking
