Sofia Medical University entrance exam score calculator

The 2026 lists for Medicine
MU-Sofia publishes no minimum score. What it does publish, after each ranking, is the list of admitted candidates by reference number and score. These are the lowest scores on the 2026 Medicine lists: observed figures for one year, not a cut-off and not a prediction. Each depends on who applied and how many places were left, and the additional round, for far fewer places, closed much higher.

How the competition score works
- The exam is one sitting of two hours, taken remotely in English: a scientific text with 10 multiple-choice questions, 20 Biology questions and 20 Chemistry questions (Art. 154).
- Each component is graded on the Bulgarian scale from 2.00 to 6.00. MU-Sofia does not publish how correct answers become a grade, so this calculator starts from the grades.
- The competition score is the English grade plus three times the Biology grade plus three times the Chemistry grade, at most 42.00 (Art. 156). Candidates are ranked by it against the places for each programme (Art. 157).
- If one or two components are not passed, the whole exam is failed (Art. 154). MU-Sofia states no numeric pass line; 3.00 is the lowest positive grade in its Regulations, which is why a grade below it is marked here.
- Results are final and cannot be re-evaluated (Art. 155).
